So, the first nuance: how does the driver find out about a puncture? The answer is obvious: only a tyre pressure monitoring system can guarantee that the driver is warned in time to slow down to 80 km/h (or better, even lower), and that system is far from fitted to every new car - mostly it is found on premium models from premium brands. Even as an option, it cannot always be ordered on class C, D or even E cars, let alone A and B. So the target audience for these tyres is already narrowed sharply by this one question alone: if a car is not fitted with a tyre pressure monitoring system, using run-flat tyres creates a real threat, at best to your wallet and at worst to your life, and is therefore categorically not recommended.
