Run-flat tyres: the tyre-fitting problem
The seventh nuance: problems with tyre fitting. The thing is, a substantially stiffer sidewall makes fitting the tyre to the wheel harder, and that calls for the right equipment. At a roadside tyre-repair shop (and, in fact, at most city tyre fitters too) they are unlikely to even attempt to fix a tyre like this. Which means that, once again, either you need a spare wheel, or you will have to call in the heavy artillery: a recovery truck, mobile breakdown assistance and so on. Here again we have to mention the road infrastructure, and what equipment is used in Ukrainian tyre-repair shops today.
